Obituary of Leo Trzepkowski

Leo S. TrzepkowskiLeo was born in Cheektowaga, New York on March 23, 1924 and passed away on April 14, 2004 in Fresno, California. He was a former resident of Antioch for 20 years.

Leo was a Union Carpenter for more than 30 years and retired in 1986.

He is survived by his son, Leo R. Trzepkowski, two grandchildren, Jon and Craig, and three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Jordan and Hannah; one brother, Frank Trzepkowski, and five sisters, Anna Gadza, Terry Kreiger, Julia Kendziora, Mary Dudek and Clare Koscielny.

As his request, he will be laid to rest in the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Graveside Service will be Tuesday, April 20, 2004 at 1:30 PM at the cemetery in Gustine California.

Leo served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was in most major Naval Battles fought in the Pacific Theatre. He served aboard many ships. His last ship, the U.S.S. Little, was sunk by Japanese Kamakazis near the end of the war. He earned several awards highlighted by 4 Bronze Stars.
